Manufacturing Guidelines

As our corporate social responsibility, RANS strictly enforces ‘RANS Supplier Standards’ defining our ethical guidelines, which forms part of procurement obligations.

We expect our suppliers to comply with the ‘RANS Supplier Standards’ and to ensure these are adhered to by their tier 2 & 3 suppliers throughout the supply chain.

RANS Supplier Standards are based on:

  • The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
  • The UN Conventions on the Rights of the Child and;
  • The Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women;
  • The International Labour Organisation (ILO) Conventions and;
  • The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises;
  • Among other aspects, these condemn any form of forced or child labour, workplace discrimination, and demand regulated payroll and working time management in compliance with national or international laws and standards, as well as freedom of assembly and collective bargaining.
Compliance Monitoring & Inspections ( CMI)

RANS works in close partnership with our direct suppliers and their sub-suppliers through programs and initiatives that ensure social compliance and continuous improvement of the existing working conditions within the facilities manufacturing the goods we sell.

In addition to third party audit reports, RANS also conducts its own audits and quality assessments, as well as visits to the production facilities.
